This beautiful 1962 Jensen-Volvo belongs to Dale Rembold & his son, Larry.
It features a Corvette IRS and a Ford 289 V8

Dale writes:

"Attached find photos of 'Super Peanut' (that's what I call it), a 1962
Jensen-Volvo 1800. The conversion is like the Ford 289 conversion article
found in the Hotrod magazine 1964. The engine sits well back into the
firewall to clear parts in front like the crossmember and steering parts,
and helps adjust for weight distribution. It requires major surgery
reconstructing the firewall and drive-line tunnel. Leg room is narrowed up
about like an MG and the rear sparkplugs are changed from inside the car via
access panels. The pedals and master cylinder had to be moved. The front end
is stock, but the rearend is an IRS Corvette that was narrowed. The cooling
fans are from a Jaguar. The car has won a first place trophy in the VSA
(Volvo Sports America) West Coast National meet concours Modified Class."
