Engine: Ford 302 H.O. V8 (including EFI, from an '88 Mustang)
Comments: This car was put up for online auction in January 2007. The following
contruction details were from the advertisement.
This TVR has undergone a frame-off restoration about 10 years ago, and features a
rebuilt Ford H.O. 302 V8 engine with fuel injection. This TVR also has an uprated
thicker-core radiator with an uprated cooling fan. It has a Ford-spec Borg-Warner
T-5 5 speed transmission, new clutch, and new clutch hydraulics. It has the original
TVR-spec Salisbury axle, but the suspension has all been rebuilt. This TVR has
Koni shocks, 15" Panasport alloy wheels, Yokohama AVS speed-rated radials. A roll
hoop has been installed and new black canvas has been fitted to the original Wabasto
sunroof. It has a stainless steel fuel tank. The exterior is painted "Russo" red and
the interior is black. The interior features four-point cam-lock competition style
seat belts, turned aluminum dash inserts, Smiths 160 MPH speedometer and Sony AM-FM
cassette radio. Although this is a TVR 2500, with its engine conversion it resembles
the TVR "Tuscan" model. The owner has fitted Tuscan and V8 badges, and even an
original-type Tuscan lubrication plate. Reportedly, this rare TVR runs and drives
excellent and is very fast!
